Over 240 fugitives have been re-arrested to serve out the remainder of their sentences, since the beginning of IPS’s operation to catch and return escaped inmates.

Suspected rapist arrested

In a separate instance on Saturday night, Israel Police arrested the suspected rapist of a Polish tourist who has been on the run for five years. The suspect was arrested in Beit Jala on Saturday night, and was brought to the Etzion police station for questioning.
