A fire broke out in a basement-level apartment of an eight-story building in Ramat Beit Shemesh on Saturday night, according to the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority.

Residents of the building were instructed to remain in their apartments as firefighters began to put out the flames.
Fire extinguished, no injuries reported
Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters ventilated the building, advising residents to remain in their apartments and avoid the stairwell until the process was complete.
No injuries were reported throughout the event.

Israel Fire and Rescue Authority will investigate the cause and origin of the fire, the spokesperson said.
