Zim CEO: Main concerns are State of Israel, our employees
“Given the security situation, we are making our ships and infrastructure available to meet Israel’s national needs. The company’s ships will be prioritized for transporting cargo from anywhere in the world to Israel, according to theDefense Ministry and the Israeli government’s requests and needs. Our main concerns at such times are the State of Israel and our employees in Israel and around the world,” said Eli Glickman, President and CEO of Zim Shipping.
“As in any emergency, Zim places the interests of the company and the state above all and contributes its part to the national effort,” he added.
Following Glickman’s directive to place the company’s ships and resources at the state’s disposal during this challenging time, and in coordination with the Transportation Ministry, led by MKMiri Regev, Zim is operating and redirecting container ships to serve as shuttle vessels, bringing essential medical personnel and additional resources to Israel.
“The transport of passengers and vital goods will continue as long as Israel needs and instructs us,” said Glickman. “As in any emergency, Zim places the interests of the company and the state above all and contributes its part to the national effort.”
