Haven’s Spring Drop Is a Study in Grown-Up Gorpcore
Technical elements from the most elusive gorpcore labels are here, like secret gussets, seamless panels, and Gore-Tex materials. There’s a deep focus on top-shelf fabrics and a restrained practicality in the vein of elite quiet luxury labels. To put it in menswear terms, it’s as if Veilance and Auralee had a baby.
Denim woven in Japan using long-staple Zimbabwe cotton is used for the Rig Jacket, a streamlined, yet feature-rich take on a trucker jacket, while the accompanying Rig Shorts and Rig Pants offer a tech-meets-workwear design style in the same fabric. Loro Piana Storm System fabric returns in the Bureau Coat, a modern take on a trench coat, as well as the Bureau Jacket, a three-button suit jacket that I could imagine standing as the unofficial uniform of a young, hip design firm.
