The IDF destroyed several Hamas tunnels east of theYellow Line in the Beit Hanoun area of the Northern Gaza Strip, according to a Thursday statement.
This operation launched in January, the IDF said, and its broader goal was the destory terrorist infrastructure on the Israeli-controlled side of the Yellow Line.
One of the tunnels was approximately one kilometer long, the IDF said, and it contained several living quarters as well as explosive devices.
Also on Thursday, the IDF released helmet camera footage from recent operations in the West Bank, showing soldiers from the Duvdevan unit making arrests in two different villages near the city of Nablus.
One detainee was involved with the production of explosives in the area and the promotion of terrorist plots.
The other was previously associated with the Lions Den terrorist organization and possessed a gun and ammunition with which he was planning to attack IDF soldiers.
Late on Wednesday night, the IDF struck several Hezbollah targets in south Lebanon, which it claimed were terror infrastructure sites. These included weapons storage facilities and missile launchers, among other sites, according to the IDF.
These strikes were a response to Hezbollah’s “repeated violation of the ceasefire understandings,” the IDF said, adding that just the presence of such infrastructure sites constituted a violation of the understandings.
