IDF reports renewed Iranian attacks lasting around 20 minutes
Iranian forces fired rockets once again at Israel just after midnight on Thursday, but the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced some 20 minutes later that it was safe to leave the country’s bomb shelters.
There were initially no reports of injuries, according to the newspaper The Times of Israel, which cited the Magen David Adom emergency service.
Earlier, Israel claimed to have attacked more than 20 targets in the Iranian capital, Tehran. These reportedly included facilities for manufacturing uranium centrifuges and missile factories. The claims could not be independently verified.
Since the start of the war, a total of 585 people have been killed in Iran, including at least 239 civilians, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a US-based group of Iranian activists. The organization relies on official data and local reports.
In Israel, 24 people have been killed so far, all of them civilians.
