Israel says it has launched new broad-scale wave of strikes on Tehran

The Israeli military said early on Saturday that it had begun an additional “broad-scale wave of strikes” targeting infrastructure in the Iranian capital Tehran.

Earlier, Israel’s air defence systems had been activated following rocket fire from Iran. The military later issued the all-clear, saying residents could leave shelters again.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
