Israeli youngsters switch to remote learning due to conflict
As Israel and Iran continue to exchange attacks, schools in Israel are switching to distance learning for a week, according to a report on Saturday.
Final exams including in history and biology, will be postponed by a week, according to reports by ynet news site, citing Education Minister Yoav Kish.
According to the reports, students will not return to schools until June 22.
Some 2.5 million children and young people attending schools across the country are affected.
The step comes amid renewed exchanges between the two on the second day of the conflict, launched on Friday with Israel’s large-scale attack on more than half of Iran’s provinces.
Israel targeted nuclear facilities, leading military figures, top nuclear scientists, defence positions, cities and, according to reports, oil fields.
Iran said the air strikes were a declaration of war and fired hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel in retaliation.
