Attack on the bus driver
According to the indictment, the defendant had confronted the bus driver, accusing him of not stopping at a previous stop on the route, and began cursing at him.
The defendant then tried to strike the driver with his hands, only to be pushed away. After that, the defendant attempted to bludgeon the driver with his cellphone.
In response, the driver leapt towards the defendant over the barrier separating the driver and passengers, hitting the defendant.
At this point, the indictment claims, a full brawl ensued, with the defendant supposedly grabbing the driver’s head and hitting him hard.
Another passenger entered the fray to separate them and ended up grabbing the driver and choking him while the defendant continued to pummel the driver’s head.
The driver ultimately suffered wounds to the head and face.
