On October 25, 2025, the author and game-show host Ken Jennings joined the senior editor Tyler Foggatt onstage at the 26th annual New Yorker Festival, a weekend of conversations, screenings, performances, and more. The Festival, which is the magazine’s signature event, was held in New York City and brought together leading voices in literature, film, comedy, television, politics, and medicine.

Ken Jennings is the New York Times best-selling author of “Brainiac,” “Maphead,” “Because I Said So!,” “Planet Funny,” and “100 Places to See After You Die.” In 2020, he won the title of Greatest of All Time on the quiz show “Jeopardy!” and later succeeded Alex Trebek as the show’s host. He lives in Seattle with his family.

Tyler Foggatt is a senior editor at The New Yorker and a host of its politics podcast, The Political Scene. She joined the staff in 2017, and has served as an editor of the magazine’s Talk of the Town section. She has written on a range of subjects, including Tom Cruise’s stunts and Taylor Swift. In 2020, she won the American Society of Magazine Editors award for exceptional journalists under thirty.
