But last year, under the creative direction of Zac Posen, the brand introduced GapStudio—a more elevated lens on tailoring and styling that still influences the main assortment through proportion and outfitting. “It sets an aspirational tone that still feels wearable and attainable,” Rogers says.

With the ’90s and early 2000s once again shaping the fashion landscape, it would be easy for Gap to rinse and repeat what worked 30 years ago.
